Dear Subscribers,
In the previous Newsletter, I briefly touched upon the advantages and benefits of the I-Corp program. I want to provide you with more detailed information about my recently attended conferences.
Promotional Programs
The three-month period of the I-Corp program concluded on July 7th, 2023. Throughout this period, the program strongly encouraged all participants to attend conferences and meetings during the customer discovery process. One conference that caught my attention was the "2023 Innovative School Summit Conference" held at Caesars Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 5th to 7th. This conference was meticulously organized, offering a range of sessions to attend. All sessions were repeated the following day to accommodate those who had scheduling conflicts.
From the perspective of customer discovery, the conferences and meetings promoted by the I-Corp program present excellent opportunities. These gatherings bring together the very individuals you seek to connect with, all in one place. All it takes is the effort to reach out and introduce yourself.
In Las Vegas, I discovered incredible potential as a significant number of principals and school counselors populated each session. Nearly half or even more of the participants in each session held these positions. The speakers and presenters were subject matter experts who delivered exceptional presentations. Personally, I focused on counseling-related topics, learning valuable insights that have relevance to my studies. Following the conferences, I took the initiative to contact and visit the principal of a successful charter school in Las Vegas.
Additionally, I made a point of introducing myself to principals and counselors during breaks and lunchtime. The welcoming and group activities the presenters organized before or during the conference were particularly helpful in facilitating introductions to fellow attendees.
On a personal level, I took the time to research the backgrounds and profiles of the presenters. This effort allowed me the opportunity to connect with them in person. We exchanged contact information, including cell phone numbers and emails, to stay in touch. I firmly believe that they can significantly assist me in the customer discovery and product development process.
Lastly, my trip to Las Vegas was delightful. The city's popularity attracts people from around the world. Downtown, one can find a row of grand hotels lined up alongside each other—the ground floors of these hotels house gaming and shopping centers. The streets also feature miniature replicas of historical landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids. A visit to Las Vegas feels like a journey through various places.
I am confident that all my colleagues who participated in different events and conferences during this period gained invaluable insights to enhance their product development and customer outreach. In conclusion, if you have an idea for developing a technological product, I highly encourage you to participate in regional and national I-Corps programs. It will be helpful for you in the process of being bigger or an Enterprise.
