Schools’ responsibility is to educate and nurture students the best way they could. What is the ideal way to do so? Of course, It varies from school to school depending on their vision and mission. Generally, it is not ideal to let our students encounter and suffer psychological problems, more so let situations come to worst.
Unfortunately, bullying is rampant. It causes psychological distress and suicidal ideations. But in most cases, it is not only because the psychological needs of the students are not addressed but not focusing on students’ strengths. Specifically; the reasons are having poor student and teacher ratio, crowded classes, etc.
From the perspective of the company “Academic Window”, a preventive counseling approach monitors all students in schools individually, and produces different suitable solutions for their unique challenges individually and sets a regular follow-up system for all students. Academic Window aims to solve students’ problems in classes and motivates students to internalize their strengths.
Generally, the students tend to be ignored if they appear to be physically okay and present. We lack research and initiative about knowing if they are as healthy mentally and psychologically. In this practice, we can help the student improve when we make ourselves aware of their wellness.
